How It Works

The Women+Tech Scholarship is available to new applicants and readmit students who identify as female and who meet the Standard English Placement requirement. All qualifying undergraduate students enrolling in a DeVry Engineering & Information Sciences degree or certificate program* will receive an award up to $1,500 per semester if attending full time with a lifetime award of $3,750 if enrolled in an introductory tech essentials certificate program, $6,000 if enrolled in a tech certificate program, $9,000 if enrolled in an associate program and $18,000 if enrolled in a bachelor’s program.

Students will also receive a $400 grant during their first session of enrollment which will cover the Learning Management System (LMS) Access Fee. Qualifying programs include:

Enrollment Status

To be eligible for the Women+Tech Scholarship, you must be enrolled in one of DeVry’s undergraduate Engineering & Information Sciences undergraduate degree or certificate programs.* Qualifying new and readmit students who identify as female and meet all admissions requirements and the standard English placement requirement at DeVry University are eligible. Additionally, readmit students who have a DeVry cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 2.5 or above at the time of admission and are in good academic standing at DeVry University are eligible.

Grade Point Average and Continued Eligibility

To maintain scholarship/grant eligibility, you must retain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester. Your DeVry cumulative GPA will be reviewed each semester for compliance with the minimum requirement.

If your CGPA falls below 2.5, you will lose your scholarship and future awards. If you fall below 6 credit hours of enrollment in any one semester and you do not enroll in at least 6 credit hours in the subsequent semester, you will lose your scholarship and future awards. You will also not receive scholarship funds for the one semester below 6 hours of enrollment. If you fall below 6 credit hours of enrollment again in the subsequent semester, you will lose your scholarship and future awards.

If you transfer to a program that is not eligible for the Women+Tech Scholarship, you will lose your scholarship and future awards.

Readmit Students

If you are readmitted to DeVry after missing six or more consecutive sessions, you may be eligible for the Women+Tech Scholarship if:

• You have a DeVry CGPA of 2.5 or above at time of admission
• You are in good academic standing. If you are unsure of your standing, contact an admissions representative.

Restrictions

Only applicants enrolling in one of DeVry’s undergraduate Engineering & Information Sciences degree or certificate programs* are eligible for this scholarship. Applicants enrolling in any other program are not eligible.

If a scholarship recipient does not start within their intended start term, their scholarship will expire, and they will have to reapply for available offerings at time of actual enrollment.

This scholarship cannot be combined with any other special pricing programs, including military rates, partner group tuition rates through DeVryWorks or the DeVry University Opportunity Grant.

Lifetime award for the Women+Tech Scholarship is capped at $3,750 if enrolled in an introductory tech essentials certificate program, $6,000 if enrolled in a tech certificate program, $9,000 if enrolled in an associate program and $18,000 if enrolled in a bachelor’s program, which will be awarded as $1,500 per semester for full-time students, $1,125 for students attending three-quarter time and $750 per semester for students attending at least half-time per semester.

Re-matriculating Students

Scholarship recipients who graduate and re-enroll within one session after graduation into a higher-level Engineering & Information Sciences program that qualifies for the Women+Tech Scholarship will qualify for an increase in available funds to the new lifetime cap for the higher credential level, and previously disbursed Women+Tech scholarship funds will be included in the determination of the remaining available lifetime benefit.

Scholarship recipients who re-enroll into a higher-level Engineering & Information Sciences program that qualifies for the Women+Tech Scholarship later than one session after graduation must reapply for the scholarship, if available. If approved, the scholarship benefit will increase to the new lifetime cap for the higher credential level, and previously disbursed Women+Tech scholarship funds will be included in the determination of the remaining available lifetime benefit award.

Program Changes

Scholarship recipients who change to a program at a lower credential level may lose eligibility if the total Women+Tech scholarship funds already disbursed exceed the lifetime benefit cap for the lower credential. Scholarship recipients who change to a program that does not qualify for the Women+Tech Scholarship (non-EIS programs) will lose their scholarship and future awards.

How It Works

The Business Edge Scholarship is available to applicants based on their incoming GPA. Qualifying students enrolling in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, or Technical Management bachelor’s degree programs will receive an award of $600 per semester if attending full time or $300 per semester if attending at least half-time with a lifetime award of $7,000.
 

Enrollment Status

To be eligible for the Business Edge Scholarship, you must be enrolled in a in a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Bachelor's in Business Administration, Bachelor’s in Business Management, or Bachelor’s in Technical Management degree program at DeVry University. Qualifying new undergraduate degree-seeking students enrolling in at least 6 credit hours per semester at DeVry University are eligible — including international students studying on an F1 visa. DeVry University or Keller Graduate School of Management alumni are eligible.

You must have applied and satisfied all scholarship criteria by Monday, January 6, 2025 (or earlier if total allocation is reached prior to this date) to be awarded for the January 2025 session.

 

Grade Point Average and Continued Eligibility

You must enroll with an incoming GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible as a new student. To maintain scholarship/grant eligibility, you must retain a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester. Your DeVry CGPA requirement of a 2.5 will be reviewed each semester. 

If your CGPA falls below 2.5, you will lose your scholarship and future awards will be removed. You may fall below 6 credit hours of enrollment in only one semester. If you do not enroll in at least 6 credit hours in the subsequent semester, you will lose your scholarship award.

If you transfer to a program that is not eligible for the Business Edge Scholarship, the scholarship will be removed.
 

Readmit Students

Dennis Keller Scholarship Award Amounts

Qualifying students enrolling in a graduate certificate or master’s degree program are eligible to receive an award ranging from $400 to $800 per semester⁵ up to a $4800 maximum lifetime award cap. The tiered award amounts are based on their incoming CGPA from a Keller-recognized institution.

Enrollment Status

• Students must have applied for admission to Keller Graduate School of Management, met Keller entrance requirements and be enrolled in a graduate certificate or master’s degree program or at Keller.
• Qualifying new and readmit students enrolling in at least one course per session at Keller are eligible — including international students studying on an F1 visa.

Grade Point Average

• You must enroll with an incoming CGPA of 2.8 to be eligible as a new student
• Readmit students must also have a Keller CGPA of 3.0 or higher
• To maintain scholarship eligibility, you must retain a minimum CGPA of 3.0. If your CPGA is found to fall below 3.0 you will lose your scholarship award
• Official college transcript from recognized institution is required to confirm CGPA for eligibility

Continuous Enrollment

• To qualify for scholarship funds, students must maintain continuous enrollment on a session basis
• The scholarship period begins at the start of the student's enrollment and continues for six consecutive sessions
• Students must enroll in at least one course per session in four of the six sessions in their scholarship period

Readmit Students

• If you are readmitted to Keller after missing six or more consecutive sessions, you may be eligible for the Dennis Keller Scholarship if:
  • You are not a previous award recipient of another Keller scholarship
  • You have not reached the lifetime cap for the award amount
  • You have a Keller CPGA of at least 3.0
    
• Readmit students who were previous recipients of other scholarship awards will be evaluated according to the guidelines and restrictions of their previous scholarships and are not eligible for this award.

Restrictions

• Award will expire for scholarship recipients who do not enroll/attend a class within two terms of their award acceptance. Students must reapply for any available award offerings at the time of their enrollment to qualify in the future.
• This scholarship cannot be used in combination with one of our other group-specific tuition rates, including alumni, military or employer-partner group tuition rates.

Enrollment Status

• Student must meet all enrollment requirements to be admitted into the University prior to the start of the session in which they are applying to start. Students who choose to defer enrollment may only do so for up to two sessions.
• Candidates must demonstrate academic preparedness to qualify for the International Student Scholarship. In addition to the standard admission criteria as set forth by the DeVry University/Keller Graduate School of Management academic policy, the following International Student Scholarship award criteria must be met for both undergraduate and graduate degree programs. 

Grade Point Average

Readmit students must maintain the following: 

• 2.5 CGPA for undergraduate students
• 3.0 CGPA or higher for graduate students
• Good academic standing or approved appeal or academic warning (students who are dismissed are not eligible)
• Achieve a minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0-scale (78% on a 100-point scale) from a conferred U.S. associate or bachelor’s degree

Continuous Enrollment

• 12 credit hours per semester for undergraduate degree programs with at least 9 credit hours onsite for the semester
• 6 credit hours per semester for graduate degree programs with at least one class onsite each session

New, Readmit or Alumni Students

• Enroll in an eligible I-20 approved program/location at DeVry or Keller
• Reside in the United States studying on a F-1 visa

Have met valid United States F-1 visa status

Continuing Eligibility Criteria

 1. Must maintain: 

• 2.5 CGPA for undergraduate degree programs 
• 3.0 CGPA for graduate degree programs                             

2. Must maintain valid United States F-1 visa status

• If student loses status, current semester and future scholarship awards will be removed 

3. Full-time enrollment is required 

• Students may take one semester off after they have completed 2 full semesters of attendance with their Designated School Official’s approval. 

4. Must remain continuously enrolled in a minimum of: 

• 12 credit hours per semester for undergraduate degree programs with at least 9 credit hours onsite for the semester
• 6 credit hours per semester for graduate degree programs with at least one class onsite in each session

Additional Notes 

• United States citizens and permanent residents are not eligible
• New, readmit and transfer-in students are eligible
• Scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships or special tuition pricing offered by DeVry University or its Keller Graduate School of Management

Enrollment Status

• Undergraduate students must be enrolled in 12 hours per semester.
• Graduate students must be in enrolled in 6 hours per semester
  •  Students may take one semester off after they have completed 2 full semesters of attendance
• Remain enrolled in Online-International (ON4) location
  • Students choosing to study at an on-site location within the United States will lose APIS and have awards removed

Grade Point Average

• Undergraduate students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5
• Graduate students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00

Eligibility Criteria

• New and readmit certificate or degree seeking undergraduate and graduate students
• Must be international student studying online from outside the United States
• Readmit students must meet eligibility requirements of 2.5 CGPA for UG and 3.0 CGPA for GR and not be in a dismissed academic status
• Standard Placement in Math and English on DeVry administered placement test or placement equivalency satisfied by transfer credit
• Student must complete the APIS Terms and Conditions document via DocuSign prior to the scholarship application being submitted
• Must satisfy one of the following:
  • Must meet minimum score on one of the following standardized ESL tests:
    • TOEFL – Paper Based (Undergraduate required score 500, Graduate required score 550)
      
    • TOEFL – Computer Based (Undergraduate required score 190, Graduate required score 213)
    • TOEFL – Internet Based (Undergraduate required score 61, Graduate required score 79)
    • IELTS (Undergraduate required score 6.0, Graduate required score 6.0)
    • iTEP (Undergraduate required score 4.0, Graduate required score 4.5)
  • English is identified as the official native language of the country in which the applicants completed all of their secondary education, or postsecondary, advanced or professional degree as designated in the CIA World Fact Book at  https://www.cia.gov/the-world-factbook/
• • The applicants completed their secondary or postsecondary education in a country where English is not the official/ native language; however, English was the principal language of instruction at the institution. Such applicants may submit a letter from the institution’s registrar or principal indicating the language of instruction at the institution was English or that the program was taught in English. Also acceptable is a credentials evaluation report from an approved education credentials evaluation agency indicating the language of instruction at the institution was English or that the program was taught in English.

Restrictions 

• Not combinable with any other DeVry special pricing programs or institutional benefits
• Continuing students are not eligible
• International students studying on a F-1 visa are not eligible
• If recipient does not start within their intended start term, their award will expire, and they will have to reapply for available offerings at time of actual enrollment
• Students must make a session payment in full prior to start of session or may be dropped from course(s)

Eligibility: 

• New, Readmit, Continuing and Alumni students are eligible
• Lifetime award amounts for eligible associate master’s degree students are up to $5,000 and up to $10,000 for bachelor’s degree students
• Must meet DVU admission or Keller entrance requirements
• No standard placement is required
• Eligibility begins with the March 2024 session and forward
• Readmit must have current academic standing of Good Standing / Approved Appeal / Warning. Students with Dismissed status, are not eligible.
• Outside scholarship match form and contact information for entity providing funds are required
• Undergraduate students will need to maintain at least a 2.5 CGPA or better.
• Graduate students will need to maintain at least a 3.0 CGPA or better.
• Enroll in at least 6 credit hours per semester or required enrollment hours to receive funding.
• Students can only fall below eligible credit hours once or take one semester off and still maintain scholarship eligibility. The student must return in the subsequent semester and meet continuing eligibility threshold, or they will lose their Outside Scholarship Match award.
• If student loses the outside scholarship, the DeVry Outside Scholarship Match award will be removed. 

Restrictions:

• Outside Scholarship Match award will be applied towards applicable tuition and fees. 
• International students are not eligible. 
• DeVry will not match outside scholarship award recipients for more than the lifetime cap per Degree Level. 
• DeVry colleagues receiving colleague benefits are not eligible; dependents receiving colleague benefits are eligible if they have an outside scholarship 
• Outside Scholarships exclude (State Grant Aid, Military Benefits including TA and VA, DeVry Scholarship Fund, other DeVry Institutional Scholarships) 
• Eligibility for outside scholarship awards does not automatically qualify a student for the DeVry Outside Scholarship Match award. Students must meet the eligibility requirements outlined in this overview document to receive the award. Students must also meet any criteria outlined by the outside entity proving their outside scholarship. 
• If the student does not have enough tuition and fees for the Outside Scholarship Match, the award amount may be reduced.   
• Partial scholarship funds are not awarded to students who do not meet continued eligibility requirements. 
• Scholarship funds unused as the result of the student’s ineligibility for continued participation for any reason, will remain undisbursed, and will never result in a monetary refund to the student. 
• If outside scholarship payments are not received, the outside scholarship match will not disburse. 
• DeVry University cannot limit student’s access to eligible financial aid funds without consent from the student. Students who borrow loan proceeds in excess of the established program guidelines will be responsible for repayment of those proceeds as established by the Federal Title IV program. 

Guidelines:

If the student graduates before distribution of scholarship funds have completed, the Outside Scholarship Match award will be a one-time award and the match amount will be up to $5,000 or $10,000 paid out upon completion of the program.

• If student has a balance, the funds will be applied towards that balance.
• Per the Terms and Conditions, if the funds generate a credit balance, funds will be sent to the student unless they are a student loan borrower. For student loan borrowers, DeVry will have the credit balance amount returned to their lender in the following order depending on the loan type(s) and amounts borrowed:

    o   Institutional Loans

    o   Private Loans

    o   Plus Loans

    o   Unsubsidized Loans

    o   Subsidized Loans

Required Documents

Must complete the Outside Scholarship Match Terms & Conditions document in order to receive their match scholarship disbursement.

Enrollment Status

To be eligible for the Tech Essentials Grant, you must be enrolled in the IT Essentials, Networking Essentials and Programming Essentials Certificate programs at DeVry University as of the January 2025 session. Alumni who are not receiving any other special pricing program rates are also eligible.

Awarding Process

The Tech Essentials Grant amount will be a one-time award of $2,400. The grant will be awarded upon completion of the IT Essentials, Networking Essentials or Programming Essentials Certificate programs. The grant will be applied to your student account. If a credit is generated, funds may be sent to you unless you have borrowed loans as funding would then be returned to your lender.

Restrictions

• This grant is available only to those enrolled in the IT Essentials, Networking Essentials or Programming Essentials Certificate program as their primary program.
• Continuing students transferring from another program are eligible (IT Essentials, Networking Essentials or Programming Essentials must be the primary program).
• Grant recipients who do not start classes in their intended session specified on the admissions application will have their award expired and will have to reapply for available offerings at that time.

Enrollment Status

To be eligible for the DeVry University Opportunity Grant, you must be enrolled in a certificate, associate or bachelor’s degree program at DeVry University. Qualifying new and readmit undergraduate degree-seeking students enrolling in at least 6 credit hours per semester for the first semester at DeVry University are eligible — including international students studying on an F1 visa alumni.

Students who place foundations may not receive the Opportunity Grant until they have successfully completed their foundations coursework and then take an additional course(s).

You must have applied and satisfied all scholarship criteria by Monday, January 6, 2025 (or earlier if total allocation is reached prior to this date), to be awarded for the January 2025 session.

Awarding Process

The Opportunity Grant amount will be a one-time award of $500. The award will be paid out equally over the student’s first semester (first and second sessions) of enrollment, as long as the student remains enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for their first semester.

Restrictions

• Continuing students are not eligible.
• This scholarship cannot be used in combination with one of our other group-specific tuition rates, including the Business Edge Scholarship, military or corporate education partner savings.
• Opportunity Grant recipients who do not start classes in their intended session specified on the admissions application will have their award expired and will have to reapply for available offerings at that time.
